Welcome to the home of the Largest Minority.
With an estimated membership of 55 million, people with a disability are America’s Largest Minority. This site was originally established as the web site for the Largest Minority Radio Show which aired on WBAI, 99.5 FM in New York City from 2002 untill 2016. At its inception, the Largest Minority could be heard once a month and was the voice of "Disabled In Action of Metropolitan New York", a cross disability activist and advocacy organization established in 1970.
The Largest Minority radio show is no longer on the air but has reestablished itself as a website featuring the news, resources, and opinions of peoples with disabilities, all disabilities! We are still the public information source of Disabled In Action and publish its news letter, The Activist, monthly. While we are New York City based, we are keenly attuned and aware of national and international issues and events that effect our community.
We are always looking to expand our presentation and open conversations. We invite your feedback and comments but most of all we invite your voice, thoughts and words. We can be reached by email at phil@kermitplace.us
